Pest Control Mechanism

Malathion is bio-activated to malaoxon in insect bodies, which inhibits acetylcholinesterase. This prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine at nerve synapses, leading to continuous nerve impulse transmission. As a result, insects experience muscular spasms followed by paralysis and death.
